Polygon.io, now sold as Massive, prices its Stocks API at $0, $29, $79 and $199 per month in 2026: Basic is free with 5 API calls/minute and end-of-day data, Starter and Developer are unlimited but 15-minute delayed, and only Advanced ($199) carries real-time data. Every tier below was re-read from the official pricing page on 2026-10-111. Polygon.io rebranded to Massive on October 30, 2025; the plan page is massive.com/pricing, existing keys still work, and api.massive.com now sits beside api.polygon.io2. How much does Polygon.io cost in 2026?

Stocks tier Monthly Billed annually API calls Data timing History What it adds
Basic $0 $0 5/minute End-of-day 2 years Reference data, corporate actions, technical indicators, minute aggregates
Starter $29 $288/year Unlimited 15-minute delayed 5 years WebSockets, flat files, snapshots, second aggregates
Developer $79 $768/year Unlimited 15-minute delayed 10 years Trades
Advanced $199 $1,920/year Unlimited Real-time 20+ years Quotes, Financials & Ratios

All four rows come from the Stocks tab of the official pricing page, read 2026-10-111. The page advertises "Save 20% with the annual plan"; the annual figures in the table are the prices it lists. Every individual plan is marked "Individual use only", and Advanced is additionally limited to non-professional users1.

What changed since the Polygon.io pricing page?

Three details in the 2026 ladder contradict older write-ups:

  • The free Basic tier is end-of-day, not 15-minute delayed. Delayed intraday data starts at Starter1.
  • WebSockets and flat files start at Starter ($29). Developer's upgrade is tick-level trades and deeper history, not streaming access1.
  • Advanced history is 20+ years and the tier now bundles Financials & Ratios, which is otherwise a separate $29/month product1.

The brand change itself did not alter prices: Massive's announcement says APIs, accounts and data continue unchanged, with api.polygon.io supported "for an extended period" and a phase-out to be announced with notice2.

Which Polygon.io tier has real-time data?

Only Stocks Advanced at $199/month. Starter and Developer are 15-minute delayed and Basic is end-of-day1. Advanced is also the only individual Stocks tier with NBBO quotes, so a strategy that needs the live spread, not just the last trade, needs Advanced. Because Advanced is restricted to non-professionals, a firm or a registered professional is pointed to the business plans instead.

Is the Stocks plan all of Massive?

No. Each asset class is a separate subscription with its own ladder1:

Product Tiers (monthly) Real-time from
Stocks $0 / $29 / $79 / $199 $199 Advanced
Options $0 / $29 / $79 / $199 $199 Advanced
Indices $0 / $49 / $99 $99 Advanced
Currencies (forex and crypto) $0 / $49 $49 Starter
Futures (CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX) $0 / $29 / $79 / $199 $199 Advanced

A Stocks Advanced subscription does not unlock options or futures data. For the options ladder see Polygon.io Options API Pricing 2026; for the free tiers see Polygon.io Free Tier Limits 2026.

What do the business plans cost?

Commercial use runs on a separate page. Stocks Business is $2,499/month with 20+ years of trades and quotes and streaming built on Massive's fair-market-value (FMV) price, sold with "No Exchange Fees or Approvals"3. Exchange-sourced feeds are add-ons: Full Market real-time trades and quotes at $1,999/month, Full Market Delayed at $499, Nasdaq Basic and Cboe EDGX at $1,999 each, IEX at $499, and NYSE Imbalances at $399, with exchange fees on top. Options Business lists at $1,999/month and Currencies Business at $9993.

How do I pick a tier?

  • Learning and end-of-day research on a few symbols: Basic. Five calls a minute forces batching.
  • Delayed intraday research or bulk history downloads: Starter. It is the cheapest tier with flat files and WebSockets.
  • Tick-level trade history, still delayed: Developer.
  • Live signals, NBBO quotes or 20 years of history: Advanced.
  • Order-book depth: not sold on the self-serve plans; compare Databento in Polygon.io vs Databento vs Alpaca 2026.

If you are moving code from api.polygon.io to the new hosts and SDKs, Polygon.io to Massive Migration 2026 lists every endpoint that changed. For bulk downloads by plan, see Massive Flat Files 2026.
